It was planned for February 2022 - as a kind of break between the General Chapter in 2018 and the planned Chapter in 2024. We "owe" the postponement to Corona - and also the "IT boost" that has since enabled us to be more intensively networked internationally.
Thus, on two days, the Chapter was opened to all interested sisters at home and abroad. They were connected by video. Two internationally streamed services with recorded dances from India and Peruvian live music enriched our liturgy, which was celebrated in a lively and diverse way anyway.
Until the evening of 23 August, there was work, prayer, wrestling, voting, silence, laughter and work again - in three languages. The facilitation team managed to lead us through the days playfully with their variety of methods. The translators did an incredible job.
In retrospect, we feel exhaustion - and great gratitude. We experienced "life in abundance" in all its facets. We go back to our everyday lives - packed with many tasks, but with great confidence. With a smile I think of Francis of Assisi, who is said to have said on his deathbed: "Come, let us begin at last, for until today we have done nothing or little!" Let's go!
